i just voted--with myself--for a blog name change. it's 11:30 pm, i just got back from a little gathering around a fire at skip's (where cassalyn informed me that she dreamed i died: falling shrapnel from an exploding cabin, and i am now terrified of cabins. inconvenient). i'm listening to the conclusion of a completely frustrating podcast of a talk of the nation episode on hillary clinton and feminism (have i mentioned lately that podcasts are *amazing*? and that hillary clinton...isn't?) and it just seemed like the right time to make some changes. it's yet another gary snyder line. it seems thematically and aesthetically fitting. what does my audience think?
eh, whatever. it's here to stay. for now.

I JUST SAW A WEASEL! it poked its head out from under the bear can return box thing and stared at me for a good minute. it was AWESOME and right up there with the sunshine as highlights of my wonderful day.
like i said 8 times last night, the exploding cabins were miles away so you don't have to be afraid of being in or near them. you don't have to be afraid at all. because i think the dreams were symbolic, not literal. in fact i think they predicted the death of 'luna morada' and this exciting rebirth. so there. are you going to hold this over my head and tell everyone we encounter for the next 2 years about it like a certain bluegrass festival story? it'll be a great part of our old-married-couple schtick which goes over well at bonfires.
I like the title! But you might want to play with its font on the main splash because it kind of fades into the dark of the mountains. Maybe just make it smaller? but yeah, i like it!
also, how does it feel to have the republican ticket trampling all over your space? Senator from Arizona, Governor of Alaska, sealing the deal in FLAGSTAFF?
well, 4 positive votes, so it's here to stay, i think...and yes, cassalyn, i will apparently be bringing this dream up for years, if today was any indication (but mona and jeff seemed to appreciate the story, right?) and lauren, i had no idea anything happened in flagstaff...my entire knowledge of this whole mccain/palin thing comes from conversations on the park road and some facebook status updates...what happened in flag???
